R&D would like to remind you that background checks are required for every firearm purchase, regardless of it being purchased in-store or online.
The same purchase process is used for both in-store and online orders in the US.
The first step in the transfer process for an online order is contacting us to confirm that we can receive and process your purchase. Once that has been confirmed, the seller/FFL you purchased from will also contact us for a quick verification process. After we receive your purchase, you will come in and complete the firearm transfer. If you are not exempt from background checks in Texas, one will be performed. Results are typically immediate. Our transfer fees are the following:
-$0 transfer fee for Veterans, and Active Military
-$10 transfer fee for First Responders
-$20 for CHL holders
-$25 transfer fee for all others
-$50 transfer fee for all NFA items
R&D is not responsible for any processing, shipping, or return fees that the seller may charge. We are also not responsible for the quality of the seller’s products or the condition we receive your product in. If you have any concerns or questions about your purchase, please contact the seller.
Out-of-state transfers:
It is important to note that every state has their own firearm laws. Some states have special shipping processes that require more processing time before your product can be shipped, while other states may require specific documents to be submitted to the state. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand and adhere to the state’s rules and regulations. Ask your local law enforcement or attorney’s office if you have any questions or doubts about your purchase and its out-of-state transfer.
The process for an out-of-state firearm transfer is the same as an in-state transfer once we receive your purchase. This means that you will come in to complete the transfer.
